Annual Service Agreements & Packages

All annual service packages must be prepaid. Accounts must be current in order to receive any service, including spring start-up, service calls, and winterization.

Annual Service Agreements do not cover additional service requests, repairs, parts, or labour unless specifically stated in the selected package.

Annual packages are seasonal service plans and are not insurance policies or guarantees against damage, system failure, freeze damage, water supply issues, or repairs required due to age, wear, misuse, improper maintenance, or conditions outside of MyRain Sprinkler Systems’ control.

Priority Service

Package holders receive priority scheduling when service is required. Priority service means package holders are scheduled ahead of non-package customers whenever reasonably possible, but exact response times are not guaranteed and remain subject to weather, seasonal demand, technician availability, parts availability, and emergency service requirements.

Parts, Labour & Additional Charges

The cost of all new parts and any labour time exceeding one man-hour is not included in any service package unless specifically stated and will be charged extra.

For clarity, one man-hour means one technician working for one hour. When two technicians are on site, one man-hour is equal to approximately 30 minutes of work by two technicians. MyRain Sprinkler Systems normally dispatches two technicians in one service vehicle.

All package holders with a minimum Silver Package are entitled to a 10% discount on parts and a 10% discount on additional labour time.

Scheduling & Seasonal Services

Maintenance services will be performed between May 1st and November 30th, weather permitting.

Spring start-ups and winterizations must be scheduled in advance. Due to high seasonal demand, we recommend booking as early as possible.

Appointments are scheduled within a two hour service window rather than at an exact time. Clear access to all work areas is required, including unlocked gates, accessible irrigation components, available water supply, accessible controller/timer, accessible backflow device where applicable, and secured pets.

MyRain Sprinkler Systems reserves the right to reschedule services due to weather conditions, unsafe property conditions, unforeseen circumstances, technician availability, or conditions that prevent the work from being completed properly. Customers will be notified as early as reasonably possible.

Missed Appointments & Access Issues

If the customer is not home for a scheduled visit and the technician cannot perform the scheduled service due to lack of access, locked gates, pets, unavailable water, inaccessible irrigation components, or other access issues, a return service call fee of $68.00 will be applied to the account.

Service Calls & Repairs

A service call fee may apply to repair visits or additional service requests. Repairs are billed based on time and materials unless otherwise stated.

Emergency, same-day, weekend, holiday, or after-hours services may be subject to premium rates.

Parts availability may affect repair timelines. MyRain Sprinkler Systems is not responsible for delays caused by supplier backorders, discontinued parts, weather, or conditions outside of our control.

Estimates & Scope of Work

All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated in writing. Estimates are based on the visible conditions of the property at the time of inspection and the information available at the time the estimate is prepared.

Any work required due to unforeseen or hidden conditions, including but not limited to underground obstacles, soil conditions, tree roots, rock, buried debris, drainage issues, unmarked utilities, or existing system deficiencies, will be treated as additional work and may result in additional charges.

Customer Authorization & Change Orders

Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be approved before proceeding and may result in additional costs. Approved changes may be documented by written estimate, email, text message, signed approval, or other written confirmation and will be added to the final invoice.

Emergency or necessary repair work may be completed at the technician’s discretion where required to prevent damage, protect the system, or complete the scheduled service safely.

Installation & Property Conditions

While MyRain Sprinkler Systems takes care to minimize disruption, some disturbance to landscaping, soil, sod, garden beds, mulch, hardscaping edges, or other property areas may be unavoidable during installation or repair work. Basic restoration, such as soil levelling, is included unless otherwise specified.

MyRain Sprinkler Systems is not responsible for damage to unmarked underground utilities, private lines, drainage systems, lighting wires, invisible dog fences, irrigation systems installed by others, pool lines, gas lines, electrical lines, cable/internet lines, or any other underground items that were not properly marked or disclosed before work began.

The customer is responsible for identifying and disclosing private underground utilities or features that may not be marked by public utility locates.

Utility Locates, Permits & Property Information

Where required, MyRain Sprinkler Systems will request public utility locates before work begins.

Unless specifically included in the estimate, any permits, approvals, inspections, fees, delays, or additional work related to permits, inspections, approvals, or property requirements are the customer’s responsibility.

The customer is responsible for advising MyRain Sprinkler Systems of any known private underground utilities, irrigation lines installed by others, drainage systems, lighting wires, invisible dog fences, pool lines, gas lines, electrical lines, cable/internet lines, or any other private underground items that may not be identified through public utility locates.

The customer is also responsible for advising MyRain Sprinkler Systems of any known property restrictions, easements, condominium rules, municipal requirements, property line issues, or other site conditions that may affect the work.

Payment Terms, Credits & Overdue Accounts

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all invoices are due upon receipt.

All annual service packages and prepaid services are non-refundable. If a customer cancels, changes, or does not use part of a prepaid service package, any approved remaining balance will be kept on the customer’s account as a credit and will be applied toward future services, repairs, parts, packages, or invoices.

If a customer requests a refund instead of an account credit, MyRain Sprinkler Systems reserves the right to charge a refund processing fee. Any approved refund will be issued less the applicable refund fee and any amounts owing on the customer’s account.

Overdue accounts are subject to a service charge of 2% interest per month, calculated monthly, equivalent to 26.824% per annum.

Accounts with outstanding balances may have services suspended, delayed, or cancelled until payment is received in full. MyRain Sprinkler Systems reserves the right to require full payment up front for any future services on overdue accounts.

Payment & Ownership

All materials and equipment supplied by MyRain Sprinkler Systems remain the property of MyRain Sprinkler Systems until full payment is received.

Collections & Legal Fees

In the event of non-payment, the customer agrees to be responsible for any and all costs incurred in the collection of outstanding balances, including but not limited to collection agency fees, administrative costs, and legal fees.

Warranty

MyRain Sprinkler Systems provides a one-year warranty on workmanship from the date of installation. Manufacturer warranties apply to parts and materials.


This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, failure to winterize, freezing, water supply issues, pressure changes, electrical issues, landscaping work, construction work, alterations made by others, animal damage, vandalism, acts of nature, or damage outside of MyRain Sprinkler Systems’ control.

Warranty Requirements for New Installations

The minimum requirement to maintain your 5-year warranty after installation is enrollment in the Silver Package or higher.

Warranty coverage may be voided if the system is not properly maintained, winterized, or serviced as required, or if the system is altered, repaired, damaged, or serviced by others.

Construction Lien Rights

MyRain Sprinkler Systems reserves the right to file a construction lien against the property in accordance with applicable provincial legislation in the event of non-payment.

System Performance

System performance is dependent on available water pressure, water volume, municipal water supply, weather conditions, soil conditions, plant material, system design, seasonal conditions, and ongoing maintenance.

While systems are designed for optimal coverage, MyRain Sprinkler Systems does not guarantee plant health, lawn growth, seed or sod performance, landscaping outcomes, or results affected by weather, watering restrictions, water supply changes, or customer operation of the system.

Liability

MyRain Sprinkler Systems carries appropriate liability insurance. However, MyRain Sprinkler Systems is not responsible for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages beyond its control, including but not limited to damage caused by weather, water restrictions, water supply changes, existing property conditions, unmarked underground items, or work performed by others.

Photos & Documentation

MyRain Sprinkler Systems may take photos or notes of the property, irrigation components, completed work, deficiencies, damage, or access issues for service records, warranty documentation, quality control, social media and customer communication purposes.

HST

HST is extra on all applicable goods and services unless otherwise stated in writing. Any estimate, service package, repair, installation, or invoice amount shown before tax does not include HST.

Fuel Surcharge

A fuel surcharge may apply when gasoline prices exceed $1.70 per litre. Any applicable fuel surcharge will be added to the invoice as a separate charge.

If you have any concerns, please notify us within 7 days of service completion. We are committed to addressing issues promptly and professionally.
